By high-speed train

Traveling to Chengdu by high-speed train is a convenient, comfortable, and efficient option. Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan province, is a major hub in China's high-speed rail network, connecting it to cities across the country.

1. Major Departure Stations

High-speed trains to Chengdu typically depart from major cities like Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Xi'an, and Chongqing. Look for stations that serve the "G" (High-Speed) and "D" (Fast) trains, such as Beijing West, Shanghai Hongqiao, and Xi'an North.

2. Arrival Stations in Chengdu

Chengdu has multiple high-speed train stations:

Chengdu East Railway Station: The primary hub for high-speed trains, well-connected to the city center by metro and buses.
Chengdu South Railway Station: Serves certain routes and is closer to the southern parts of the city.
Chengdu Tianfu Railway Station: A newer station near Chengdu Tianfu International Airport.

Traveling to Chengdu by car can be an enjoyable and scenic journey, depending on your starting point. Chengdu is the capital of Sichuan Province and is well-connected by a network of highways, including the G5 Beijing-Kunming Expressway and the G42 Shanghai-Chengdu Expressway.

Plan Your Route

If you’re coming from nearby cities like Chongqing, the drive typically takes around 3-4 hours via the Chengdu-Chongqing Expressway (G5013).
From Xi'an, the journey is about 8-10 hours via the G5 Expressway.
Longer trips from cities like Shanghai or Beijing can take 2-3 days, with stops along the way.

Travel from Chengdu to Anren Ancient town, Cogdel School Chengdu

Anren Ancient Town, located approximately 70 kilometers west of Chengdu, is a charming historical site known for its well-preserved architecture, museums, and cultural heritage. Traveling to Anren Ancient Town from Chengdu is convenient and offers scenic views along the way.

By Car:
The fastest and most flexible option is to drive or hire a private car. The journey takes about 1.5 hours via the Chengdu-Ya'an Expressway (G5). Follow signs to Anren Town, which is part of Dayi County.

By Public Bus:
Chengdu's tourist bus services or intercity buses can take you to Anren. These buses usually depart from Chadianzi Bus Station or Xinnanmen Bus Station. The trip lasts approximately 2 hours.

By Train and Taxi:
Take a train from Chengdu to Dayi County (Chengdu-Dujiangyan Intercity Railway or Chengdu-Ya'an line). From Dayi, a taxi or local bus can take you to Anren Ancient Town, a 20-30 minute drive.
