Chengdu, China – The Panda Vision International Film Festival (PVIFF) has announced its full jury lineup for the 2026 edition, assembling a distinguished panel of seven film professionals from China and Spain.
The jury brings together expertise spanning award-winning feature and short filmmaking, documentary production, animation, experimental media, and film education.
The 2026 jury reflects PVIFF’s continued commitment to bridging emerging young creators with established industry voices. The panel includes:

Wang Yuting – Jury member for PVIFF’s inaugural 2025 edition, she is Head of the Film Department at New Oriental Sifang Southwest. A graduate of the China Academy of Art and University of the Arts London, her credits range from serving as executive shooter on Gone with the Bullets to directing BBC Northern Ireland’s The Food Journey - Irish Stew. As a producer, her short films have won ARFF Berlin’s Global Best Student Short Film award and screened at Hishorts! Xiamen. She has mentored over 500 students in pursuing film careers.

Lam Can-zhao – The 31-year-old filmmaker emerged as a major international talent after his short "A Summer's End Poem" won the Generation Kplus Best Short Film Award at the 74th Berlin International Film Festival and was shortlisted for the 98th Academy Awards. His debut feature “The Dog” earned a New Director Award nomination at the 39th Asian American International Film Festival. Lam’s work has screened at Cannes, Karlovy Vary, Moscow, and Sarajevo. In 2025 he served on juries at Moscow’s Eurasian Film Festival and Mexico’s Ensenada International Film Festival.

Álvaro Collar – A Madrid-based experimental filmmaker and founding member of video art collective Haz!, Alvaro specializes in low‑resolution aesthetics and compressed-image art. His films have received the Best Original Idea award at MovilFilmFest and Best Video at Movilfilmfest Tenerife. His exhibition history includes Ars Electronica (Austria), Hanshan Art Museum (China), FILE (Brazil), and NYC Electroacoustic Music Festival (USA). He currently serves as Executive Dean of Stirling College, a TNE partnership between the University of Stirling and Chengdu University.

Zhong Chen – A Tsinghua University engineering graduate who pivoted to filmmaking, Chen earned an MFA from Temple University on full scholarship. His work has been selected for over 100 international film festivals. A veteran educator, he has delivered master classes and lectures at Northwestern University, Stanford University, Université Paris Cité, and Lund University, and served as a mentor at Denmark’s Odense International Film Festival.

Wu Yanjun – Head of Animation and Audiovisual Courses at Sichuan University Jinjiang College, he has worked in animation production since 1996 as producer and director on hundreds of domestic and international projects. His experimental animation collaborations have been widely exhibited, and he has also directed documentary films. He previously taught at the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, where he led the animation department and audiovisual curriculum.

Zhang Jin – A materials chemist turned artist, he holds a Ph.D. from NYU.POLY and teaches experimental art at the Chengdu Academy of Fine Arts. His interdisciplinary practice merges scientific methodology with photography, installation, and short film. His work Another Season received the 2012 Three Shadows Photography Award Grand Prize, and his art is held in the collections of White Rabbit Gallery (Australia), A4 Art Museum, and Three Shadows. In 2023 he founded the alternative art space 100 Kilometers in Chengdu.

Ma Zhandong – An independent documentary filmmaker based in Chengdu, He has directed over ten feature and short documentaries since 2001. His films have screened at festivals in Germany, the Netherlands, Denmark, Japan, and Portugal. He served as a final jury member for the 14th Beijing Independent Film Festival and as a secondary review juror for the 12th FIRST International Film Festival. He is co-founder and director of documentary platform RunDoc™.
The seven-member jury will evaluate a competitive selection of 52 short films, with winners to be announced at the PVIFF 2026 awards ceremony on March 26.

The Panda Vision International Film Festival, founded in 2025 at Cogdel School Chengdu, is
dedicated to showcasing and celebrating the work of secondary school filmmakers from around the world. PVIFF 2026 will take place March 26 in Cogdel School Chengdu and Anren Ancient Town.
