Panda Vision Film Festival 2025 Announces Award Winners

The first edition of the Panda Vision Film Festival concluded with a day full of celebration, creativity, and cinematic brilliance at Cogdel School Chengdu. The festival showcased the talent of high school filmmakers from around the globe, uniting over 100 submissions from China, Russia, Malaysia, Kazakhstan, and more. Out of these, 22 outstanding films were shortlisted and screened in front of a live audience and an esteemed jury panel.

The awards ceremony honored the most exceptional films across categories such as Narrative, Documentary, Experimental, Cinematography, Editing, Directing, and Acting. The festival’s top honor, the Grand Prize, was also announced.

  • Best Experimental Film: Hey, How Are You? – Russia. Minimalist 2-minute narrative to turn the theme of "a greeting can save a life" into a poetic visual statement.

  • Best Acting: Buffoonery of Chris and Ostar

Documentary Film Category

A Platform for Young Creators

Festival jury chair Professor Guo Daorong, former Dean of Film & Animation at Chengdu University, praised the youth-centered perspective and storytelling depth:

“Each film displayed sincere emotion and strong technique. It’s inspiring to see how young creators can reflect deeply on the world through cinema.”

The festival jury also included respected directors, producers, and educators such as Dong Qizhang, Shen Chong, Wang Yuting, and Huang Peiyang, bringing a blend of academic and professional expertise to the judging process.


The success of the Panda Vision Film Festival has laid the groundwork for future editions, aiming to build an international platform where young voices and fresh visions shine.
